I’m hoping, but not certain, this link will last to a French-language story about Emily the cat at TV5.org. Anyway, it’s here because the TV5 site has a nifty feature that I use when reading stories. When I don’t know what a word means, I can double-click it and a small window pops up with either a translation into English. The popup can also be set to return French synonyms, which is a great help when learning the language.

Nobody knows how Emily the cat survived for the 3 weeks it took for her to be shipped 4,200 miles from Wisconsin to France. They only know that she did, and now Emily the cat is going home again after making news here as well as in France as un chat clandestin.

Thanks to Bill B. and his two Yahoo! groups: lynnlynns-links and buffalos-g-jokes for linking today to “What a Good Cat!”
He has a lot of subscribers, because my page counter always shoots up a few hundred percent when he links to the cats’ page. Welcome, folks, and I hope you enjoy your visit.

From left: rabbit garden sprinkler; Kelly’s rear end; the lovely (and a bit suspicious) Lizzie.

After mentioning the Edsel automobile in a post earlier today, look what I found tonight — a handsome tuxedo cat who loves eating grass and who goes by the names of Edsel/The Pooch.

The above-mentioned cats are a pair of brothers who have come a long way from the middle American farm where they were born. Now, they’re the world travelers who take it all in stride and take their Cat Naps in Italy.

OK, maybe it doesn’t sound so good by that name. Then just call it an optical illusion and go check out the Lilac Chaser.
