Empty Nest

Posted in Cats, This, that and the other at 21:58

Here’s the spot in our back yard where the cottontail was working in the rain a couple of days ago. I was hoping to find more, but perhaps the doe realized that when it’s not raining, our back yard is full of potential predators. Even if those cats are closely supervised when they go outside, the rabbit doesn’t know that. No dumb bunny here…

Update: Still an empty nest, with no baby bunnies yet. We still see a few rabbits hopping around the neighborhood, so I’m not giving up hope.

Wow, bunnys! We are back … please stop by!

Kelly Cat replies: My human asked me to tell you that he’s glad you’re back, and that he stopped by just last night before the latest post and was wondering if everything was all right.

We are overrun with rabbits this year! We don’t chase them, we just watch them .

Watch for patches of bunny fur. They give birth in a small burrow of their fur.
