What is a Good Cat?

Posted in Cats, What is a Good Cat? at 0:05

With their natural physical gifts, cats are well-suited for climbing. (Getting down is sometimes a whole other subject.)

Cats like high places; for instance, a tree or the top level of a piece of cat furniture, maybe even the top of a refrigerator.

Some cats, however, don’t limit their places for climbing to inanimate objects. Regardless, any cat who climbs, such as Caitie in the photo below, is a Good Cat.

Question: how long did you stay in the same position to avoid disturbing the kitty-cat?

Hi GK, Caitie here. I’ll answer that one, but I’ve seen your site — you know as well as I do how to rule a human! My human stayed there as long as I wanted him to, of course.

He was brushing me in the bathroom, just like in that YouTube video he posted yesterday, and I climbed up on his shoulders. Then he called for Pat to take a picture quick, as though I were going to leave sometime soon. Ha!

It was comfortable on that nice thick soft shirt. Why leave?

I used to have a cat that jumped on my back everytime I bent over the sink when I was brushing my teeth!!

That’s a good one, Debbie… cats like yours and like our Caitie just have that compulsion and they expect us to bend over and go along with it. (Which I do… but only because she’s a Good Cat.)

And some people think cats are aloof and want to be left alone!

This is another useful purpose we serve for kitties, besides being valet, servant, etc.
