3 Good Dots Saturday…
– I feel good today… first, playing catch-up … my sister is OK and getting better after an operation that removed a growth the size of a grapefruit from an ovary. Glad they finally got it right, sorry it took so long — she told me that doctors’ first diagnosis was that the problem was in her back, and then they all but told her it was all in her head. Anyway, it could have been worse…
– Planning to have a nice video in a couple of days for Home Video Monday… this one to feature one of the Good Cats, and not just any old Good Cat, but a world famous cat who is (quite likely) the Greatest Cat Who Ever Lived. Enough hints… tune in Monday…
– Speaking of video, I saw with interest that John Edwards used YouTube to officially announce he’s running for President. (Remember, he announced in ‘04 on The Daily Show.) I like it that he’s using new media — a politician who knows how to communicate can get a lot accomplished.
– And now, some old media via new media:
– Home for lunch one day this week, I saw the first few minutes of Sesame Street, and one scene at the store showed a sign advertising “sherbert”. Uh-oh… I’m surprised some sherbet maker hasn’t had them fix it…
– Diana, Jack and Jennie were here for Christmas day, and as usual Diana amazed us… 2 years, 7 months old, and she’s already a computer jockey… that’s not a staged photo — she was actually playing a game at pbskids.org …
Pat had bought her a musical snow globe, and Diana learned to turn it on when it stopped. Then while we had dinner, I unplugged the globe. After dinner, the little girl tried turning it on again, and when it didn’t go on, she took only a few seconds before picking up the plug and plugging it back in the wall, and then she turned it back on and started dancing again… 2 1/2 year-olds don’t usually do that, do they? (Well, the dancing, yes, but the plug?) …
– One more thing: Friday night, Pat and I were watching a show on HGTV on which a lady designer was showing a good deal of cleavage, and I told her what Jack had told me — he calls the show Giada De Laurentiis hosts on Food Network “Cooking With Cleavage”… so then, I asked her, what would she call this show. Without any hesitation, Pat answered, “Decorating With Decolletage.”
So I think you know where Diana got her brains from… the Good Cats want to go out now, so I’ll talk to you later…

We’re glad that your sister Sandy is doing and recovering well. Some doctors, well, I leave that blank.
John Edwards announcing his running via YouTube. It’s okay he knows how to use a different media platform, but …
Are you sure Diana isn’t ordering her own computer?
I know the extra “exposure” is to attract male viewers, but I wonder if that just increases their liability insurance?
