Friday Cat Blogging: Lizzie on red and blue fleece

Everyday life with Good Cats, plus anything else that comes to mind.
One Good Cat Link: This may be too intense for some of you. Lucy the Colorado Springs calico seems to have befriended some non-vishus deer. (Yeah, right, I can just hear them saying “Cats are friends, not food.”)
One Video Link: I’ve got a little Lizst, and it’s from The Cat Concerto featuring Tom & Jerry:
One Other Link: If you’re sick and tired of fast food, the Slow Food movement is right on time.
The way bedsheets smell after drying on the line is definitely a Good Thing.

After learning about yet another zero-day exploit against some piece of Microsoft software, I began to look into Linux. Books, magazines and websites assured me that any difficulties installing and using Linux would be minor, and that I’d grow to love the penguin-powered PC.
I probably would, if only I could get Linux to work. All the Live CD’s I tried went belly-up on me. Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Fedora Core, SUSE, I don’t remember them all, but none of them went anywhere. So, since it’ll take more time than I have right now to study and learn more about it, Linux will have to wait.
It makes me feel better to learn today that someone with pro-level computer skills also had trouble getting Linux to work.
In an Acatemy Award nominated performance, here is the Kelly Cat in “Kelly’s Tummy Rub.”
Skeezix invites all filmmakers to submit their videos at AcatemyAwards.com. This is the final week for nominations, so edit your footage and shoot for the stars.

(Not to be confused with a Curly Cat like Miss Daisy)
