Green and Growing (and lots of pink, too)

The pink is a salute to all the Pink Lady cats, in particular Lilly Lu and Daisy…
Everyday life with Good Cats, plus anything else that comes to mind.

The pink is a salute to all the Pink Lady cats, in particular Lilly Lu and Daisy…
A week ago, I told you about the robin’s nest in the holly tree at our house. Yesterday, the nest was empty, too soon for the eggs to have hatched. I also found two broken eggshells while mowing the lawn. We can guess the rest. It’s the way nature works.
In the year 2000, a killdeer made a nest on the ground in our back yard. Those eggs all hatched, and Pat’s son took pictures of the nest, as well as the chicks. Coincidentally, this week’s “What a Good Cat!” tells about how the Good Cats reacted to having a tricky bird living on their property for a month.

Granddaughter Diana will be 3 this Friday. We think an awful lot of her…

The act of tree scratching, as demonstrated here by our Kelly Cat, is his way of putting up a big sign that reads “Property of Me”, and is without a doubt appropriate behavior for a Good Cat.
