What is a Good Cat?

Posted in Caitie, Cats, Kelly, What is a Good Cat? at 0:05

Pat, who possesses the green thumb in our household, tells me that once you have catnip on your property, you’ll never — ever — be without catnip. The stuff spreads like a weed, which, in the view of some, it is.

But not our Caitie. Her sensitive nose is attuned to powerful and agreeable scents, such as this thriving volunteer catnip plant. It sprouted in spite of the mulch spread over the area, and our Calico Diva is helping herself to this unexpected pleasure. Arriving just behind her (and I will not say ‘waiting patiently’ because he doesn’t) is Mr. Kelly, who has also detected the good stuff, but not quite fast enough. However, since the Big Guy is also a ‘nip lover, we must consider him (like Caitie) to be a Good Cat.

Look at the expression on Kelly’s face! I don’t think he will wait much longer! I love ‘nip, but I only like the dried up kind. Even though the fresh stuff looks so good.

Mr. Kelly looks about my size, a nice floofy, cuddly cat : )

I’ve never had fresh cat-nip, I’m going to ask my Mum if we can grow some. We grow cat grass, but never any nip : (

Oh, I love catnip! We Ballicai especially like the dried up kind — we like to roll around in it, *giggle* — but fresh is nice, too.

    Purrs and snuggles from Marilyn.
