Proverb Meme

It’s always nice when someone thinks of you to tag you for a meme. The Mosaic Cats did just that, on Wednesday this week.

(Yeah, Wednesday was 3 days ago… he said, cringing… I’ll try to do better the next time.)

The object is to write our own proverb, and a proverb is a simple and concrete saying popularly known and repeated, which expresses a truth, based on common sense or the practical experience of catkind.

Mosaic Cats Willie and Bianca came up with this:

There are only twenty-four hours in a nap.

Then, Sadie’s made me smile. Her favorite proverb:

Morris 5:37,38

“No one puts new clean litter into dirty old litter boxes, or else the new litter will touch the poo poo parts, and it will be stinky, and the clean litter will be skanky.
But new litter must be put into clean litter boxes, and both are good. No cat having scratched new litter immediately desires old, for he says, ‘The new is better.’ “

Do I hear an AMEN? Yea, verily…

Now, with another quote from the kitty Good Book, here’s what the Good Cats say:

Cat does not live by stinky goodness alone. Cat must also have Temptations. (Ham would be good too. And shrimp.)

    Oh gosh…we didn’t know you’d posted it! Sorry to be late to the party here. We love it, of course. Good Cats’ Good Book is sweet! But now we are very mad at Mosaic Lady for we have never ever had Temptations NOR Fish Flakes. This is about to change.
    We love the water color photo too. We are celebrating cat art over at our blog today too. It’s helpful, isn’t it?
