Green and Growing: a W in Lavender

Everyday life with Good Cats, plus anything else that comes to mind.
This is the night that’s designated for Trick-or-Treating by the local authorities. However, a higher authority has overruled the local folks…

Reminds me of something Vin Scully says: “If you want to make God smile, tell him your plans.”
So it’s on for tomorrow night instead, rain or shine, according to the note on the township website. Can’t wait to see how granddaughter Diana is costumed. However, from the looks of the Saturday evening forecast, it’d better include something waterproof…
By the way, for our little visitors tomorrow night, we have miniature Snickers, Milky Way, Kit Kats, peanut M & M’s, Reese’s Nutrageous, and Clark Bars. If you want Skittles or jelly beans, you’ll have to go to some other house. Here, we serve chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate… what, you don’t like chocolate? [I'm shaking my head incredulously now.] What are you, some kind of Communist?

This wraps up Nicky’s week here at It’s all Good.:
The Good Cats welcome visitors from these traditional gathering places:
As always, the Friday Ark can be found at The Modulator.
Bad Kitty Cats Festival of Chaos: Samantha & Tigger host at Life From A Cat’s Perspective.
Weekend Cat Blogging: Halloween Edition is hosted by Amar and Luna at CatSynth.
The Carnival of the Cats: your gracious hosts this weekend are Missy Blue Eyes & KC.
When we got broadband a few years ago, the cable company technician seemed amazed that Pat and I have only one television in the house.l Shrug… sometimes, we don’t even need that many TV’s. No Tivo/DVR here yet, either. Still using the VCR my company gave me for my 15-year anniversary in 2003.
Only reason you’re getting that info is that during the World Series, things change around here. Game Two is on tonight, but so are 3 new half-hour shows on HGTV. As two reasonable adults, we worked it out. Pat watched her shows live, flipping over to Fox for the game during commercial breaks. The rest of the time between 8 and 10:30, we turned it to the Sox and the Rox. Hey, if anything big happens while we’re away from the game, there’ll be plenty of replays during and after…
The Red Sox have a better team, but as a good American lover of the underdog, I say Go Rox…
Humans and cats alike know that crime does not pay. Now, at least one overstuffed squirrel has learned that valuable lesson.
(Cats, wouldn’t you have loved to watch this in your back yard? Heh, heh, heh…)
Here are a couple of screen prints of messages I recently received.
From Google Reader: OK, thanks for the info. But it did happen. Now what?

On the other hand, Microsoft leaves me hanging: …they what?
