Twenty-three years ago today, Pat and I shared lasagna and wine and became the best of best friends. It’s not our wedding anniversary (that’s January 3) but for years it was our anniversary. Occasionally we’ll remember and imagine how life would have been different if we hadn’t met… not only does that affect us, but Pat’s son Jack probably doesn’t meet his wife Jennie either, and then of course there’s no granddaughter Diana… anyway, we prefer the way things have worked out.

It’s always a pleasure to report that a homeless cat has been rescued. In this instance, a kitten was very ill and in danger in the street, but this little tabby now has people who care, and she should grow up very well-loved indeed.
