Thursday Thirteen #8: How I Spent My Winter Vacation

Posted in Thursday Thirteen at 0:05

Or, what I did with the time instead of blogging:

  1. Celebrated Christmas at home with Pat, Jack, Jennie and Diana
  2. Tried to find source of leak in attic (it’s a tight squeeze for someone my size)
  3. Read from stack of English and French newspapers and magazines, along with some of what used to be called an “improving book” or two
  4. Began to pick out books for donation or auction in 2008
  5. Began to organize paper photos (a long journey, a single step, etc.)
  6. Re-organized digital photos in Photoshop Elements (not exactly perfect, but better)
  7. Prepared to dispose of cassette tapes that are obsolete, and record the few rarities not already in CD format
  8. Watched this TV show one evening with Nicky on my lap
  9. Upgraded to version 7.0 of Simply MEPIS
  10. Re-formatted the idle 9-year-old HP Pavilion (500 MHZ Celeron chip! 17 GB hard drive!) and installed Xubuntu
  11. Began to prepare for this season’s drafts with my sim league baseball teams
  12. Stocked up on cat litter, along with ProPlan and Friskies brand stinky goodness. Also fell in love with the Cat Shack cats at Petsmart (as usual)
  13. Visited family in New Jersey for New Year’s

It sounds like you were very busy over Christmas break! Our Mommy had a whole list of things she wanted to do over the holidays of which maybe half got done. She decided to laze around th house instead!

That’s too busy of a vacation that’s suppose to be rest and relaxation, napping with the kitties on the bed for 2-3 hours every afternoon of said vacation. You may need to see the doctor and get a “cat scan.” :)
