Traditional Friday Cat Blogging: Miss Lizzie

Pat enjoyed watching the rebroadcast of Pride and Prejudice the past few Sunday nights.
That miniseries was first shown in 1995, just about the time we adopted a little torbie cat from Animals In Distress, and Pat named her after Jane Austen’s heroine Elizabeth Bennet. Willful and headstrong, the literary Lizzie was a good namesake for our Good Cat.
This is a photo of Miss Lizzie Bennet Cat that was taken early the next year (which was also a leap year), not long after she joined our family.

She’s a beauty. I love it that she has the tabby M along with her other markings.

Lizzie is gorgeous. Has she considered joining TATA (Tough *ss Torties Association)? My sisters are members as of yesterday. They are bugging me to recruit for them.
Happy Leap Day and Happy Weekend!
(My mommy loves Jane Austen, too!)

Mum watched that again too. It is one of her favorites. I like the four legged version of Miss Lizzie Bennett as well.
