Just Don’t Call It Dog-gerel

Posted in Cats, Kelly, Lizzie at 10:00

“You can’t write a song unless you have something to say.” — Willie Nelson

Sounds simple, doesn’t it? But it takes effort and time to get to where you know enough about something to have something to say about it.

The creative Karen Jo at Kitty Limericks makes that effort every day. After she reads and learns about her subject, she writes a thumbnail sketch and a deceptively quick little poem and posts them.

It was a pleasant surprise yesterday to find she’d written about Kelly, and today’s subject is Lizzie. Unless I miss my guess, I’m detecting a pattern here, so Pat and I are looking forward to what Karen Jo has to say over the next couple of days. Thanks, plus a tip of the Good Cats’ hats to her…

Well, when we (the Cat Blogosphere) had our contest, all entrants had to be cats or Karen Jo. She is a cat.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I am glad that you like the limericks for Kelly and Lizzie. Yes, you do detect a pattern, though I am just posting a Happy Easter thingie for Sunday.
