My sister Sandy in Michigan, responding to Thursday’s post, sent me this email:
The cats and I had an outside day today also. Cane in one hand and push broom in the other, I cleaned up the deck from its winter leaves and ended up losing the broom over the side. Oops.
As for the 5 cats, many “good cat” things were done: eating grass, balancing on the deck rail, smelling the flowers, chasing leaves, walking (and sleeping) on top of the cars, and of course, climbing trees and running. Opal, the oldest, even climbed halfway up a tree, just to show everyone she still could. But Mars, our only male cat, chose to stick with sleeping on the couch safely indoors. It was 70 degrees out, but I guess he’s waiting until the weather hits 75 or so.
A good day was made even better when [husband] John made salmon patties for dinner and gave the skin and juices to the cats. And tomorrow is another warm day.
Now how’s that for living life to its fullest??
