Rescued!

Posted in Cats, Good news, Sandy's View at 11:05

Here’s some good news from my sister Sandy in Michigan. She and her husband John live out in the country, and they both care about animals and have helped many strays over the years.

“John brought in another kitten. It was walking down the middle of the road in the country, nowhere near any houses.

John saw a car coming very fast and was concerned that it would hit the kitten so he pulled over. He opened the car door, called the kitten and it walked over to him. He picked up the little one and brought him home. (And he says I’m a soft touch! LOL)

The kitten is a yellow tabby, so thin and scruffy, but very friendly. He eats OK (actually he’s starved and eats like a starved kitten), uses the tidy box (had to teach him but he’s a quick learner), can’t get him to cover so his Mom neglected some of his training.

We are unsure of kitty’s age. Very young teeth and claws… so I don’t know if he’s even 6 weeks old or if he is younger.

We took a couple of pics on John’s cell phone… I’ll have to email one to myself and then forward it to you. The kitten is sitting on John’s shoulder, apparently a very good place to sit and sleep.”

I’ll be glad to post a photo of this fortunate young kitten. The middle of the road is usually not the place for a cat to be, but it was the right place this time.

Are his eyes still blue? I’m not sure when they change over but its around 6-8 weeks.
Poor little kitty with no momma. Bless John’s heart for saving him.
