Sad News from Michigan

Posted in Cats, Sandy's View at 23:15

My sister Sandy just emailed me the following:

“Henry, our rescued kitten, passed away July 17, 2009 at 10 pm. He was too weak and did not survive.

He was the friendliest little guy we have ever met, and we loved him deeply in the time we had him with us.

How can a kitten steal your heart in such a short time? How can a person’s heart be broken so many times in life and still function? How can so many pieces be given away and you still have a heart? How can you hurt so bad and still survive? Maybe that is what a miracle really is.”

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this! It’s so sad – and I know it must be extremely difficult for Sandy and John. Many thanks to them for rescuing Henry, and for giving him so much love and affection in the short time that they had him.

    Sending them many purrs -

Please pass on our sympathy, but also our thanks for giving a wee kitten some love and happiness in his short life. Maybe when their hearts are healed a bit more, they will be able to open their home to another little furry friend.

This makes me very sad. I am so sorry to hear this but am so grateful for kind hearts like your sisters that took this little guy in.

Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan.”

We are so sorry to hear the news. It was brave and noble of your sister and brother-in-law to take in such a fragile soul. As others have also said, at least little Henry knew love. We understand how attached you can become in such a brief time.
