Our Calico Diva demonstrates a fine sense of modesty in this photo by the strategic placement of her hind legs. For that matter, in this pose her entire hindquarters are either under the leaves or in shadow.
It’s not exactly a come-hither expression on Caitie’s face, but that can be blamed on the photographer who positioned her looking up at a bright sky. Anyway, with photos de charme like this one, what man cat will be looking at her face?

My sister Sandy in Michigan writes, “Mouchie, our stray kittie of 3 years died on the morning of my birthday [March 8]. Sad day. We had tried hard to catch her but no luck… I could “touch” her lightly but not pet or hold her. We ran out of time. Hope she is on the rainbow bridge.”
Here at home, Kelly probably has Irritable Bowel Disease, so we’ve been looking for that always-elusive product: Good healthy food that he’ll eat willingly. Over the weekend, we offered him Instinct lamb, and — yee-hah! — he loves it *and* he keeps it down. (Besides that, no more skid marks on the carpeting.) It would be nice if it cost less — it goes for about 4 times more than Friskies — but that’s not going to get in the way of keeping Kelly’s belly happy.
Finally, speaking of tummies on Tuesday, it’s Caitie who shows off her furry tummy this week. The litterbox news is still good, as our Calico Diva has for now abandoned her long-standing habit of peeing on the basement floor. All it took was adding a thin layer of Nature’s Miracle litter to the bottom of all 5 boxes before covering it with the usual unscented scoopable clay litter.
Of course, it feels good to have found a solution, but what’s more, now we can emphasize her many good qualities. She’s a smart, beautiful survivor, and it felt like I was always writing about her few flaws. After all, she was just being a little finicky, and if she weren’t finicky, well, she wouldn’t be a Good Cat, now would she?
In addition, I hope you’ll agree with me that this Good Cat, shown here on the driveway stretching out to her full length, has a fine tummy for showing off on this Tummy Tuesday:

Our Calico Diva doesn’t do anything because it’s what a lady cat does, or because it’s what a gentleman cat does. Whatever she does, like this full Monty, she does it because it feels good and it gives her pleasure. No regrets, no guilt. (Which sounds like a Good Cat to me…

When a cat throws up as much as Kelly did Friday night and early Saturday morning, I believed something serious was wrong with the Big Guy. I’m thankful to say that all the tests turned up only a kind of feline irritable bowel syndrome. All that means is more Baby Chicken for Mr. Kelly, and you know he wouldn’t see anything wrong with that!
And now, here’s The Greatest Cat Who Ever Lived, showing off his newly unqueasy tummy to everyone on the internets. We both appreciate everyone’s good thoughts and support…
